The members of this team have also successfully managed 60+ federal, state, and private grants representing more than $20 Million in both public and private investment.
Trevor is the Director of Planning & Community Development for the Town of Plattsburgh. He has served the department for 14 years, over which time he has developed a depth of knowledge about municipal planning and project development that is unique in the region.
Trevor has managed the development and amendment of the Town’s Comprehensive Plans, Zoning & Subdivision Regulations, Smart Growth Initiative, and guided public infrastructure projects. He also oversees the application and management of grants from Federal, State, and Local agencies to the Town. Helping the right project happen, in the best location, with the greatest benefit, is his primary planning goal.
Trevor holds bachelor’s degrees in anthropology and environmental science from Plattsburgh State University and he is credentialed by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). Trevor is a member of the Clinton County Traffic Safety Committee and is a volunteer member of the Beekmantown, NY Zoning Board of Appeals.
In his time away from the office, Trevor enjoys making music, skiing, and is a member of the Adirondack 46rs. The natural environment, family adventures, friends, and guitars make Trevor happy.
As Senior Planner in the Planning & Community Development Department, Jessica’s roles and responsibilities include site plan and subdivision review of proposed development, grant writing and management, community program management and implementation, data analysis and reporting, policy and law creation, long-range planning, as well as marketing and public relations.
Jessica grew up in northern Vermont, but sought higher education here in New York’s North Country. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University, and a master’s degree in Environmental Science from Plattsburgh State University. She recently achieved AICP certification from the American Planning Association, and holds a Microcredential in Welcoming & Belonging from the Adirondack Diversity Initiative. She was also named a TDC Groundbreaker for contributing to local growth and success through resilience and leadership.
Jessica joined the Town of Plattsburgh team in 2019. Prior to that, she served as the Town Planner for Richmond, VT specializing in Comprehensive Planning, Zoning Regulations, and Policy Writing and serving on the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission’s Planning Advisory Committee and Transportation Advisory Committee. Jessica has also provided Pro Bono consultation for her hometown of Enosburgh, VT for the past 7 years.
Jessica lives in Beekmantown, NY with her husband, and their two dogs Buffy and Maple.
